Kom Ombo and Edfu
Departure by car from Aswan to visit the Ptolemaic Temple of Kom Ombo with its beautiful murals,”bas relief”. It’s 28 miles north of Aswan, the Temple, dating to the Ptolemies, is built on a high dune overlooking the Nile. Kom Ombo is actually two temples consisting of a Temple to Sobek and a Temple of Haroeris. Continue the drive to Edfu to visit the Temple of Horus, the most complete ancient temple still standing. The final stop Esna located about 33 miles south of Luxor. Visit the Temple of Esna, then drive back to Awsan.
