Overview
Vilanculous Coastal Wildlife Sanctuary
This diverse eco-system of wilderness and wetland, with its power-white beaches and crystal clear water is host to a magnificent array of beautiful creatures such as the leatherback turtle, dolphin and flocks of flamingos and pelicans. Most importantly, it is the only site in the world where the near-extinct Dugong (which resembles a sea lion) is found.
The facilities and activities on offer at Dugong Beach Lodge will ensure that guests experience the ultimate in barefoot luxury in this magnificent, unique wilderness. Overlooking the azure Indian Ocean, this romantic hideaway offers the beauty of pristine surroundings, tranquility, solitude and warm, personal service.
The Lodge offers14 comfortable, air-conditioned chalets, with direct access to the beach via individual walkways. Each chalet has a private deck, furnished with day beds for relaxation or massages and where private dinners can be enjoyed. Inter-flowing swimming pools offer an island-style bar with martini seats with views of the ocean.
