Kapinga Camp is designed to be in harmony with the environment; natural products have been used as much as possible in its construction. Interiors are spacious and with only four luxury safari tents accommodating a maximum of eight guests, one can be assured of exceptional personal attention.
Zambia > Kafue National Park
Overview
On the Busanga Plains in the northern part of the Kafue National Park
Kapinga Camp is situated in the north-west corner of the vast Busanga Plains of Kafue National Park, one of the largest national parks in Africa, while the Busanga Plains is one of Zambia’s most significant wetland resources, and one of the few areas in the world that remain unspoilt by human development.
Guests can take part in game drives and walking safaris in and around the Plains, while night drives offer the added excitement of observing the nocturnal wonders of the area.
This camp is perfectly situated to see the antelope that make the Plains their home: lechwe, the ubiquitous puku, stately roan antelope as well as the diminutive oribi. Herds of wildebeest, zebra and buffalo are all commonly seen as well as smaller groups of Lichtenstein’s hartebeest. This wealth of game is also a big attraction for predators, including wild dog, cheetah and prides of lion. A birder’s special, the Böhm’s Bee-eater, can be seen in the parking area of the camp!

Location
Zambia is situated mainly on a vast plateau 1.8 miles above sea level, and boasts the Zambezi, Kafue and Luangwa rivers - as well as one of the largest waterfalls in the world, the Victoria Falls, which it shares with neighboring Zimbabwe. Most of the country has a mild, pleasant climate, while the river valleys are hotter and more humid; the extreme north becomes tropical on the shores of Lake Tanganyika, one of Zambia's ten large lakes. While Lusaka is the country's capital, Livingstone, just 6 miles from the Falls, is more well known to travelers as the 'adventure capital' offering adrenalin-packed activities on and around the Falls and the Zambezi River.
