Set on a hill bordering the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park and overlooking unspoilt bush, Stanley Safari Lodge is only 3km from the Victoria Falls. The views are splendid: the spray of the Falls in the distance, the mighty Zambezi river and on top of that yet another beautiful African sunset. From either our main garden, our infinity pool or from the privacy of your room, views are unmatched.
The open-sided Main House has been designed with space and views in mind and has a truly African feel. Enjoy sundowners in the African style lounge, a 3 course dinner in the dining room or spend some quiet time in the library or upper deck discovering the secrets of Africa.
Our private table set-up ensures you can enjoy your dinner from any place you desire. Just pick a spot: on our upper deck, in our wine cellar, outdoors under the stars or in our infinity pool? Or maybe you would like to have a romantic private dinner in the room? It´s all possible at Stanley Safari Lodge. And our European-style cuisine with an African twist will make sure it will meet your appetite.
The atmosphere at Stanley Safari Lodge is tranquil and intimate, and with only 10 private cottages or suites we are able to give you an unmatched level of entirely personalized service. Each and every cottage is individually designed. But what makes Stanley Safari Lodge really special is the open design of many of our rooms: the optimal way to experience the real Africa. Just like Stanley must have done centuries ago…And if you really want to indulge yourself, ask for one of our suites with private plunge pool.

CottageOur cottages, 6 in total, are all in Safari style built with natural materials. Baobab is a closed cottage, but all other cottages (Birds Room, Zambezi View, Mukuni, Mosi-oa-Tunya and Victoria) have an open structure to enhance to your Zambian experience. All these cottages have a bath and shower with all the luxuries you might desire. From the deck or terrace you can enjoy the splendid views of the Zambezi Valley. |

SuiteFour of the rooms are suites, each having a private plunge pool with deck or terrace, a lounge area, a bedroom and a bathroom with bath and separate shower. Our Honeymoon Suite and Family Suite are open suites, which enables you to absorb the sights and sounds of the African bush fully. Our Livingstone Suite and Stanley Suite are closed suites with a colonial interior that evoke the elegant era of Stanley and Livingstone. |

Your Destination
Location
Zambia is situated mainly on a vast plateau 1.8 miles above sea level, and boasts the Zambezi, Kafue and Luangwa rivers - as well as one of the largest waterfalls in the world, the Victoria Falls, which it shares with neighboring Zimbabwe. Most of the country has a mild, pleasant climate, while the river valleys are hotter and more humid; the extreme north becomes tropical on the shores of Lake Tanganyika, one of Zambia's ten large lakes. While Lusaka is the country's capital, Livingstone, just 6 miles from the Falls, is more well known to travelers as the 'adventure capital' offering adrenalin-packed activities on and around the Falls and the Zambezi River.
