Overview
Hwange National Park
Renowned for its excellent game activities and outstanding guiding and hospitality, The Hide Safari Camp is dedicated to delivering among the finest safari experiences in Africa. Two concealed ‘hides’ located on either side of the main waterhole afford a safe haven for remarkably close encounters with, and incredible photographs of elephant and Hwange’s 105 other wildlife species.
Its 10 tastefully furnished East African-style tented suites all overlook the busy waterhole, rewarding guests with the pleasure of game-viewing without leaving their rooms.
For the more adventurous and romantically inclined, the Dove’s Nest located within the Camp’s five square kilometer private concession offers complete exclusivity for a night in the wild.
The heart of the camp is a majestic “A” Frame housing the dining room where many a splendid meal has been served in unsurpassed elegance and style around a magnificent 22-seater teak dining room table.
A true wildlife destination in the heart of Big 5 country, excursions with The Hide’s guides prove abundantly gratifying, as they share their profound knowledge of the ecosystem in which the diminutive creatures of this Belgium-sized national park are just as enthralling as encounters with larger wildlife. To the birdwatcher, Hwange is a birder’s paradise with some 412 species identified to date.

Tented AccommodationThe Hide's luxury tented suites are uniquely styled along classic lines with a contemporary twist, all are spacious and bathed in natural light. Life in the bush is not just about searching for big game. It is just as much about waking to the chorus of robins and hornbills as the rosy dawn light creeps across the bedspread. It's about sitting quietly on the verandah to watch the comings and goings of kudu, giraffe, elephant and many more at the waterhole. And, of course, at the end of a full day, there's that long soak in a hot bath under the stars and the warm bed where you'll curl up and listen to the sounds of the African night. |
