Botswana is the ultimate safari destination. Hot and dry, with the exception of the lush oasis of the Okavango Delta in the north of the country - it is also reputedly one of the most beautiful places in the world, making it a firm favorite with travelers. Largely off-the-beaten track, Botswana is a haven for wildlife.
On this safari, Botswana is both affordable and comfortable. During your safari, you will stay in mid-range Lodges, Chalets and Tented Lodges. Accommodation is situated either in National Parks, on the banks of a river, or in other places of interest. Most accommodation options have a private bathroom. Some properties are equipped with swimming pools and bar areas. You’ll travel in 4WD vehicles, open-sided when possible.

Itinerary
Day 1: Maun
On arrival at Maun Airport, you will be picked up and transferred to your accommodation. The afternoon is spent at your leisure – if you are keen for some excitement, book a scenic flight over the Okavango Delta. (own expense) Overnight: Thamalakane River Lodge
Day 2: Maun - Khwai River
After breakfast float in dug-out canoes through the thick vegetation of the Okavango Delta discovering a variety of birds and wildlife. After this spectacular excursion, we make our way to our camp on the famous Khwai River. After dinner, embark on a night game drive – a fantastic opportunity to spot some nocturnal animals. Overnight: Khwai Bedouin Camp
Day 3: Khwai River
Today will be spent in the Khwai area. We will embark on an early morning game drive and in the afternoon on a sunset game drive. The exceptional location of Khwai makes it a regular host to Elephant, Buffalo, Lion, Leopard, Cheetah and Wild Dogs. Birdlife can also be viewed in abundance with exceptional sightings of wildfowl and raptors. Overnight: Khwai Bedouin Camp
Day 4: Moremi Game Reserve
Head into the famous Moremi Game Reserve known as one of the most beautiful and varied reserves in Africa with an unprecedented concentration of wildlife. The full day is spent tracking the unspoiled nature of the Moremi Game Reserve. After our wildlife experiences in the Moremi Reserve, we head back to Maun. Overnight: Thamalakane River Lodge or similar
Day 5: Maun – Makgadikgadi Pans,
After breakfast we head onto Nata Lodge, stopping at Nata Bird Sanctuary which forms the breeding ground for a host of water birds including pelicans and flamingo in their thousands, transforming the shore line into a pink haze blending into the western sky. With a little luck, you will witness this majestic spectacle today. Accommodation: Nata Lodge or similar
Day 6: Makgadikgadi Pans – Chobe NP
Today we make our way to the Chobe River. Enjoy the rest of the afternoon on a sunset cruise on the Chobe River. Here we can watch elephants, hippos, lions, crocodiles and a variety of birds and more without having to reach for our binoculars – You’ll be close enough for close-up photographs. Accommodation: Chobe Safari Lodge
Day 7: Chobe National Park – Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe
Today we will leave Botswana behind us and enter Zimbabwe to witness one of the 7 Natural wonders, the Victoria Falls. Explore these mighty waterfalls on a guided tour. Accommodation: Amadeus Garden Guest House
Day 8: End of Tour
Your journey ends today and we will take you to Victoria Falls airport in time for your departing flight.
