The Classic Kenya safari provides safari travelers with great value, and a classic game viewing experience.  After a restful night in Nairobi, the safari starts with a stay in the impressive Masai Mara National Reserve, continues to the Rift Valley and Lake Nakuru and ends with Amboseli National Park, brimming with wildlife and offering the best chances to view majestic Mount Kilimanjaro.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Nairobi

Upon arrival into Nairobi, you will be met and transferred to the Safari Park Hotel. Afternoon at leisure. Accommodation: Safari Park Hotel.

Day 2 - Nairobi to Masai Mara

Leaving Nairobi after breakfast, travel towards Kenya's fertile highlands and head down the Rift Escarpment on a road built by Italian prisoners of war during World War II. Pass the impressive Longonot earth satellite station as you head across the Valley to Narok, and then travel across farmlands, before you reach the Masai Mara in time for lunch. Following lunch & a siesta, there is an afternoon game drive. Accommodation: Mara Sopa Lodge.

Day 3 - Masai Mara National Reserve

Early morning and afternoon game drives in the fabulous Masai Mara. Accommodation: Mara Sopa Lodge.

Day 4 - Masai Mara - Lake Nakuru

Leaving the Masai Mara after breakfast, you will travel to Lake Nakuru. After lunch you will take an afternoon game drive in Nakuru National park. Accommodation: Lake Nakuru Lodge.

Day 5 - Lake Nakuru - Amboseli National Park

After an early breakfast you leave Rift Valley behind, and continue towards Nairobi and then head south towards Amboseli. Enjoy a picnic lunch and an afternoon game drive in the park en route to the Amboseli Sopa Lodge, arriving in the evening. Accommodation: Amboseli Sopa Lodge.

Day 6 - Amboseli National Park

Depart the lodge after a sumptuous breakfast for a full day game drive. Enjoy a hot picnic lunch at a picnic site returning to the lodge at 4pm. Accommodation: Amboseli Sopa Lodge

Day 7 - Amboseli National Park - Nairobi

Following an early breakfast, you’ll catch your last views of the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro as you depart Amboseli viewing game en route to the border of the park. From here turn west to the colorful border town of Namanga, where you will find some unique Maasai beadwork. Then turn north along a good tarmac road across the beautiful and seemingly never ending Athi Plains, arriving in Kenya's bustling capital city of Nairobi by mid day.
