Cruise along the legendary Nile River, pass colonnaded temples and stop at the temples of Edfu and Kom Ombo, situated at the crossroads of ancient caravan routes.  Fly to Abu Simbel to see the temples, which are among the most magnificent monuments in the world - they were built by the great pharaoh Ramses the second.  They are perhaps the grandest and most complete example of ancient Egyptian architecture, more than 3 thousand years have elapsed since they were erected.
