Begin your family adventure at the fabulous Westcliff Hotel - Families are always welcome at the Westcliff, and their rooms and suites have ample room for a cot or an extra bed. The kitchen can create delicious child-friendly treats and they have a dedicated child minding service.

Johannesburg is home to a great range of attractions perfectly suited to children.  We will take you to the Cradle of Humankind – a world heritage site.  Venture in to the nearby Sterkfontein Caves where the famous Mrs Ples and Little Foot skull and skeleton were discovered…then go deeper and deeper into the caves, so you feel the history and strong sense of identity.  Visit a nearby lion park, home to lions and exquisite cheetah, and have the opportunity not only to watch them, but to interact with lion cubs.

At Grootbos Nature Reserve the children’s activities are not just activities they are a combination of education and fun in our wonderful nature setting. Kids Activities at Grootbos include:  Pony rides; Treasure hunts in the Ancient Milkwood forest; Activities at the kids playground at the stables; Excursions to the nearby beaches for swimming and exploring rock pools and ancient archeological caves; Entertainment center with games, cinema screen and a large selection of children DVD’s; Special meals and helping the chef in the kitchen (kids are the only ones allowed in the Grootbos kitchen); harvesting fresh vegetables and feeding them to the animals at the stables which include little bunnies, chickens, ducks, pigs and tortoises!
