This safari goes to Parc National des Volcans in the misty Virunga volcanoes where about 350 Mountain Gorillas make their home.  It is the shortest program including gorilla tracking, and can be done in reverse.

So shy and elusive are gorillas, that the world has only really known of their existence for little more than a century. The most misunderstood of Africa’s Great Apes is far from being a fearsome King Kong. Rather, the gorilla is a gentle, agile, beautiful animal with whom it is a privilege to spend time.  Climb spectacular mountain slopes, through mist-veiled rainforest in search of the most potent symbol of Africa, the critically endangered Mountain Gorilla.

Packages include one night’s accommodation in Volcanoes National Park at your choice of 3 different lodges, and one night’s accommodation in Kigali at the Serena Hotel. These can be in either order.
