Itinerary

Day 1 – Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe

On arrival at Victoria Falls Airport you will be met and transferred to your accommodation. The rest of the day is at leisure, there are plenty of optional activities to choose from (own expense).

Day 2 - Camp Kwando, Namibia

Head to Camp Kwando after crossing the Zambezi River and entering Namibia. Camp is located on the Kwando River. Before dinner at the Lodge embark on an afternoon game drive in the Mudumo National Park. In contrast to the rest of Namibia, the area is lush with riverine forest, marshes, dense savannah and mopane woodland.

Day 3 & 4 – N’kwazi Lodge, Namibia

Drive along the Caprivi Strip to the town of Rundu, and N’Kwazi Lodge. Spend a relaxing afternoon at the Lodge on the banks of the Kavango River overlooking Angola. Optional activities such as horse riding or a sunset cruise are available; alternatively just relax by the pool with a sundowner. Optional traditional dancing in the evening.

Days 5 & 6: Etosha National Park, Namibia

After breakfast we leave our Lodge and make our way further west into Namibia and onto Etosha National Park. We spend two nights in the park, where our days are spent on game drives in the hopes of spotting the big five as well as cheetah, giraffe, zebra and the numerous different types of Antelope the park has to offer. Our nights are spent at the flood lit waterholes encountering the parks various nocturnal animals as they drink.

Day 7 – Kamanjab & Khorixas, Namibia

We leave Etosha National Park through the Main Gate and drive to Kamanjab, which is the gateway to Damaraland. We visit a Himba village, before heading to see the bushman paintings and etchings in the area. We also make a visit to the Petrified Forest, and the Organ Pipes, which are famous landmarks deep in the heart of Damaraland.

Day 8 & 9 - Swakopmund, Namibia

Heading south west out of the dry interior of Namibia we make our way to the German town of Swakopmund on the Atlantic coast. The next day is spent at your leisure where you can explore this quaint town or participate in some of many optional activities such as sand boarding, quad biking, scenic flights, fishing etc.

Day 10 – Namib Naukluft National Park & Kuiseb Canyon

Today is spent exploring the barren, arid and sometimes rocky landscape of the Namib Naukluft National Park. Once we reach our lodge we enjoy the evening under the countless stars and just relax.

Day 11 – Sossusvlei and Windhoek, Namibia

We visit the world’s highest sand dunes at Sossusvlei. These red sand dunes, which can reach a height of more than 900 feet, are absolutely spectacular and provide a fantastic photo opportunity. With luck there may even be water in the vlei (lake). Head to the capital city of Windhoek.

Day 12: Waterberg Plateau, Namibia

Today we leave Namibia’s capital behind us and drive North East to the Waterberg Plateau close to Otjiwarongo. On arrival we go for short hike in the reserve to view the wildlife on the plateau.

Day 13: Grootfontein, Namibia

Departing from the Waterberg we drive deep into Bushmanland and on to Roy’s Rest Camp an ideal stopover to Northern Namibia. Why not stretch your legs on one of the walking trails the camp has to over, perfect for some bird spotting or simply relax at the waterhole.

Day 14: Bushmanland, Namibia

Take a guided visit to a local bushman community and get to see them partaking in cooking, making crafts, preparing hides, making hunting equipment such as quivers or arrows or preparing medicine. A walk is taken in the vicinity of the village with the hunters to search for honey, springhare or bush food. Continue East onto Tsumkwe.

Day 15 Maun, Botswana

We leave bushmanland and travel in our 4x4 vehicles to Thamalakane Lodge, via Maun, the gateway to the Okavango Delta and Moremi Game Reserve. Birding opportunities abound at the lodge and Thamalakane work with Birdlife Botswana, using trained guides to conduct walks around the lodge.

Days 16 & 17: Khwai River, Botswana

Travel to our Bedouin Tented Camp in the Khwai Region. Head out on a night drive hoping to spot some of the numerous nocturnal animals in the area. The following day is spent on a mokoro excursion and game drives in the Khwai River..and Moremi viewing the wildlife. ides of lions, pods of hippos in the river and so much more.

Day 18: Planet Baobab, Botswana

We leave the bush behind and travel east towards the Makgadikgadi Pans, once a large river fed lake the pans now saline and empty. The rest of the afternoon we spend with a relaxed stroll to the elephant hole and relaxing at Planet Baobab’s facilities.

Day 19: Kasane & Chobe National Park, Botswana

The Chobe National Park, which is the second largest national park in Botswana, has one of the greatest concentrations of elephant found on the African continent. In the afternoon we go on a cruise on the Chobe River, a truly unforgettable experience and one of the best ways to view the wildlife and the spectacular sunset.

Day 20: Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe

Drive back to Victoria Falls. Take a walk to The Falls, one of the “Seven Wonders of the World” and one of the largest and most spectacular waterfalls on earth. You may take part in several optional activities such as White Water rafting, Bungee jumping or Elephant back safaris.

Day 21: Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe

After breakfast this morning this 21-day safari ends. This memorable lodge safari will leave you with life long memories of all that the African continent has to offer.
