Being less well known than some of Kenya’s other national parks, Samburu benefits from fewer visitors, so guests can enjoy superb wildlife encounters. Enjoy stunning views of Mount Kenya before ending your journey within the vast plains of the Masai Mara with its bountiful wildlife. This is an exhilarating safari, highlighting Kenya’s vastly contrasting lands.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Nairobi

Upon arrival, you are met and transferred to the Nairobi Serena Hotel. Remainder of the day at leisure. Overnight: Sarova Stanley Hotel.

Day 2 - Nairobi - Samburu NP (B, L, D)

Leave Nairobi after breakfast to Samburu. Arrival at the lodge in time for lunch and then depart for an afternoon game drive returning to the lodge as the sun sets. Overnight at Sarova Shaba Game Lodge.

Day 3 - Samburu NP (B, L, D)

Early morning game drive is followed by breakfast, and time to relax by the lodge pool or the terrace overlooking the river. After lunch there will be another game drive returning to the lodge as the sun sets. Overnight at Sarova Shaba Game Lodge.

Day 4 - Samburu NP - Serena Mountain Lodge (B, L, D)

Leave after breakfast and drive south and into the forests of the Aberdare Mountain range arriving at Mountain Lodge for lunch. Spend one night at Mountain Lodge. Overnight:Serena Mountain Lodge.

Day 5 - Serena Mountain Lodge - Lake Nakuru NP (B, L, D)

An early morning start takes you northwest as you head for Nyahururu, still known to many as Thomson's Falls for its 237 foot cascade. Now travel in a southerly direction to your next destination, the spectacular Lake Nakuru. Once in the park, there will be a game drive en route to Nakuru lodge where you will have lunch. Following lunch there is an afternoon game drive you will then continue to Lake Nakuru lodge. Overnight: Sarova Lion Hill Lodge

Day 6 - Lake Nakuru NP - Masai Mara NP (B, L, D)

After an early morning breakfast, you will continue on your safari to the Masai Mara arriving at your lodge in time for lunch. Enjoy an afternoon game drive en route to Mara Serena lodge where you spend the next two nights. Overnight: Sarova Mara Game Camp

Day 7 - Masai Mara NP (B, L, D)

Early morning and afternoon game drives. Overnight: Sarova Mara Game Camp

Day 8 - Tour Concludes (B)

After breakfast you’ll depart the Masai Mara and head back to Nairobi where your tour ends.
