11 Days, 10 Nights

Exquisite scenery is all along our route, so are delectable bush meals and oodles of local color, but we’ve planned our wildlife excursions so there’s an exciting element of interaction in a range of different environments: water, land, beach, farm, aquariums, you name it. Great contrasts every day, designed to grip the attention of young and old alike. EsLet’s go up a mountain. Glide up the exquisite Table Mountain by cable car, where the panoramic views of Cape Town and the Peninsula are the finest. We watch the antics of seals in their natural habitat, and get up close and personal with those formal little penguins at Boulders Beach. Everybody will be spellbound by the aquatic inhabitants of the world-class Two Oceans aquarium, but no less enthralled than when we visit the amazing Eagle Encounter and Cheetah outreach program…one of the most beautiful, mysterious wild animals of Africa. We move off the beaten track towards the famed Cango Caves with their weird and wonderful dripstone formations of stalactites and stalagmites. Stand in these massive caves, and be amazed! From cave to capital of the feather industry….Oudtshoorn and an ostrich farm, where we’ll watch these ungainly birds run at very graceful speeds when they set their minds to it! Journey to an Elephant Sanctuary outside Knysna, and move in close to these gentle giants. A short drive, and we’re at the Birds of Eden, a world class free-flight bird sanctuary; next door, it’s Monkeyland, a free roaming primate sanctuary where we’re guaranteed a fair amount of cheeky monkey business. We end our safari on a high note. The Addo Elephant National Park is quite beautiful, with one of the densest populations of African elephants in the world, so fantastic sightings are certain. That’s 11 days of shared family experiences, wildlife and scenery and a whole lot of fun! One for the memory banks!
